My name is Carmen Rivera Rio.  I was born and raised in Mexico City but I have been living in San Miguel de Allende for the last 20 years. I am a sociologist but life has brought me to the insurance business.

I have been working in San Miguel as an independent insurance agent for more than 4 years.  As an independent agent, I represent the best and largest insurance companies, and I can therefore help you to find the policies and plans which best suit your needs. I can provide all insurance services, including health, homeowners, life and auto insurance.

I call myself an advisor rather than an agent, as I always look after your well being and will tailor a plan for you that will really solve your individual needs and problems. My work is not only selling the insurance policy, but also helping you with other aspects, such as insurance claims, accident reporting, following up in workshops, legal aspects for foreign drivers, procedures for direct payments, etc.

My wide knowledge of other cultures helps me understand the different needs and situations.  I am well known in both the Mexican and foreign communities of San Miguel and have been personally recommended by many of them as a reliable, professional and punctual insurance agent.

Communication is easy and fluent as I speak and write both Spanish and English.  My office is easily accessible as it is centrally located, but I am also happy to make appointments at your own home for your convenience.

I am always available by cell phone, 365 days a year 24 hours a day. My office is open 7 days a week and I check and respond to e-mail regularly.
