Lloyd's Silver Plan Policy       

At the request of many people, I have put together a group policy.  This is a specific policy, mainly intended for people who would otherwise find it difficult to get an insurance policy due to age or pre-existing conditions. For all of you who are interested in this group health insurance, let me explain that to become a legal group it is necessary to sign a contract and pay an annual fee (US$25), otherwise the group would not be entitled to get the special group insurance rates..

San Miguel Health and Fitness Center is giving you the opportunity to become part of a group. As a legally established business the gym will become the “contractor” for the group insurance and will collect the monthly fees. However each person joining the group will have their own individual policy.

I am holding a meeting on Friday 25th January at 2 p.m. at Villa Jacaranda.  This meeting has two purposes :

• To explain the offered plan and answer questions. On December 26^th I e-mailed the Silver Plan policy to all of those who had contacted me at some point showing interest on becoming part of the group.

• To start filling out the application forms. On Friday, after listening to what the plan offers, if you decide to join, we will have the necessary forms and will collect the first monthly payment. It is not obligatory to submit that day, but we have to start some day.

The main points of the policy are outlined below.

1) The policy allows signup for any ages up to 85 years.  This is different from most policies available.

2) Declared pre-existing conditions are covered after continuous insurance of 1 year unless specifically excluded.  These excluded conditions are covered after 5 years coverage.

3) The coverage is worldwide, including the United States.  Note that the deductible is double for treatment outside your sign up country of Mexico.

4) Insured amount is a total of US$2,000,000 with a maximum of US$100,000 per year.

5) Choice of annual deductibles $2,000, $5,000, $10,000  ($4,000, $10,000, $20,000 outside Mexico)

6) Co-insurance of 20% of the first US$5,000 (maximum US$1,000) in Mexico.
